Adah E. Corman of Riverview Manor, Lewisburg, formerly of Rebersburg, passed away February 11, 2015. She was 102.  Born October 11, 1912 in Spring Mills, Adah was a daughter of the late Charles and Rebecca “Stover” Rossman.  Adah was a 1932 graduate of East Penns Valley High School.  She married James G. Corman who preceded her in death on May 20, 2001, breaking a 65 year union. 

 

Adah and Jim lived in Rebersburg, Centre County, for most of their lives.  They moved to Lewisburg in 1987 and had a home in Willowbrook for 25 years.  For the last several years she has resided at Riverview Manor in Lewisburg.   Adah was originally a member of the Salem Reformed Church of Penns Valley.  Upon moving to Rebersburg after her marriage, she transferred her membership to the St. Peter’s United Church of Christ, where she was a member for over 60 years and also the church’s oldest member.  She was very active in church affairs, including Sunday school teacher of the Youth Class and member of the Adult Fellowship. 

 

Adah is survived by one daughter, Joyce C. Thomson (Clarence) of Murrysville; one son, James C. Corman (Mary Maroney Corman) of Schenectady, NY; four grandchildren, Mark Thomas, Lynn Thompson Wichert, Elizabeth Corman and Jennifer Corman.  Also surviving is nine grandchildren.  Adah was preceded in death by two brothers; Kermit Stover of Potters Mills and L. Stover Rossman of Spring Mills. 

 

A memorial service for Adah will be held at a later date at the St. Peter’s United Church of Christ in Rebersburg with Pastor Julie Holm officiating.  Adah will be laid to rest in the Lutheran & Reformed Cemetery in Rebersburg.  In lieu of flowers, contributions in memory of Adah may be given to St. Peter’s United Church of Christ, Po Box 156, Rebersburg, PA  16872 or to Evangelical Hospice, 1 Hospital Road, Lewisburg, PA.  Arrangements are entrusted to the Steven R. Neff Funeral Home.
