Anthony J. Pusateri, 57, of Millheim, formerly of Burgettstown, went home to be with the Lord on March 16, 2016. Born February 15, 1959 in Pittsburgh, Anthony was a son of the late Anthony John and Agnes (Azzarello) Pusateri. He was a 1977 graduate of Burgettstown High School. He went on to attend the Pittsburgh Institute of Mortuary Science and graduated in 1981 with a Mortician license.
On August 26, 1984 Anthony married Marina E. Mark. Marina survives at her home in Woodward. Also surviving are two sons, Adam C. Pusateri (Mohan) and Alex A. Pusateri (Brittany); one brother, Sal Pusateri (Linda) and one sister, Lucy Lagnese (Patsy); and many cousins, nieces, and nephews.
Anthony was formerly employed by USAirways from 1982-2002. His true passion was serving his community as an undertaker, having been employed at Hayden, Lee & Martin, and Curran-Shaffer Funeral Homes. For the last year and a half Anthony & Marina have been the owners/funeral director of the Steven R. Neff Funeral Home in Millheim. He was a lover of outlaw country music, especially Johnny Cash. He was an avid stamp collector, loved golfing with his son and gardening. Most of all, Anthony enjoyed vacationing with his family. He will be remembered best for his quick wit, sense of humor, and infectious laughter.
A visitation for family and friends will be held on Tuesday, March 22, from 2-8pm at the Taucher Funeral Home, 23 Erie Mine Rd., Burgettstown, PA. The funeral mass will be held at 1:30 on Wednesday, March 23, at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church, 1109 Main Street, Burgettstown, PA. with Father Tony Thurston officiating. Anthony will be laid to rest at Our Lady of Lourdes Cemetery, Burgettstown, PA. A memorial service will also be held at the Steven R. Neff Funeral Home in Millheim on April 9. A gathering of family and friends will be held from 11-noon with the service immediately following with Pastor K. R. Mele officiating. In lieu of flowers, contributions in memory of Anthony may be sent to the Steven R. Neff Funeral Home, PO Box 437, Millheim, PA. 16854. All contributions will be used for the continuing renovation of the funeral home.
