D. Seth Meyer, 78, of Spring Mills passed away on Tuesday, March 10, 2015.  Seth was the son of the late Randall Gettig Meyer and Ruth (Swabb) .  Seth was born on June 5, 1936, in Bellefonte, PA.   On April 12, 1955, in Aaronsburg, he married Marie F. Hazel who preceded him in death on November 3, 1969.  On January 15, 1993, in Bellefonte, Seth married his current wife Carol Musick -Meyer who currently resides in Spring Mills. Seth was preceded in death by a son, Curtis Seth Meyer and a daughter Selena Marie Smith, along with one brother James Meyer.

Seth was a 1954 graduate of Penns Valley High School and was a Veteran of the United States Air Force holding rank of A\1C.  He was an original member of the R&R Gun Club in Poe Valley, a member of the American Legion Post 444 serving on the Board of Directors, and a lifetime member of the BPOE Elks of State College.  Seth enjoyed baking treats of all kinds for his kids, grandkids and numerous friends.  He had his own “special way” of making Joe’s Dinner and Mint Iced Tea.  He cherished his relations with the local Amish community and loved to provide “suckers” to their children.

In addition to his surviving wife, Carol, Seth is also survived by one daughter, Jodi (Korey) Ripka of Spring Mills, two sons, Samuel (Elaine) Meyer of Spring Mills, and Bryon (Miranda) Musick of Sayre, PA.  One brother, Nevin Meyer, of Montoursville, along with one sister, Priscilla Beahm (Larry) of Milesburg.  Seth will be missed by his grandchildren, Evan, Alia, and Collin Smith, Karli and Gage Ripka, Dominic and Ardrenna Musick and one great-grandson, Cael Stover, along with numerous nieces and nephews. 

A gathering for family and friends will be held at Aaronsburg Salem Lutheran Church on Monday, March 16, 2015; from 1:00 PM until the Memorial Service at 2 PM with Pastor Julia Sprenkle officiating.  Interment will be in Centre County Memorial Park, State College, at the convenience of the family.  Family and friends may express their condolences online at stevennefffuneralhome.com.  Memorial contributions can be made in Seth’s name to a favorite charity of choice.
