Surrounded by his family, Guy W. “Ozzie” Musser, 82, of State College, formerly of Millheim, passed peacefully from this life on Tuesday, December 5th.  Born August 20, 1935 in Millheim, Guy was a son of the late Guy Otto and Lydia Mary (Breon) Musser.  He was a 1954 graduate of East Penns Valley High School.  On September 9, 1955, he married M. “Becky” Tice, who survives at their home.

Guy proudly served his country as an aircraft mechanic in the U.S. Air Force, retiring after 23 years of service with the rank of Master Sergeant.  He served two tours in Vietnam, along with various other assignments. When Guy retired and returned home he became a self-employed drywall hanger, working another 23 years.  He was an avid outdoorsman who loved fishing and especially hunting.  He also loved vegetable gardening.  While in the military he played softball and continued that at home playing in an “over 65 league”.  He was a member of the American Legion Keystone Post # 444 in Millheim.  In his later years he enjoyed working on puzzles with Becky and doing Sudoku and word puzzles.

In addition to his wife, Guy is survived by five sons, Gary W. Musser (Gean) of Hampton, VA, Richard O. Musser of State College, Stephen M. Musser (Amy) of Bellefonte, Kenneth L. Musser of Lemont and Russell A. Musser, also of Hampton, VA; one sister, Shirley Moore of Naperville, IL; five grandchildren, Heather Gean Bayer (Mike), Ashley Marie Ayers (Tom), Cory Michael Musser (Jessica), Kipp Logan Musser, Keegan Lewis Musser (Jessica) and Khloe Lorraine Musser.   Also surviving are two great grandchildren, Kaylee and Connor.  Guy was preceded in death by one brother, Dean Musser and one grandson, Geremiah Musser. 

A memorial service will be held at 1:00 pm on Saturday, December 9th at the Steven R. Neff Funeral Home in Millheim with Pastor Greg Milinovich.  Guy will be laid to rest in Fairview Cemetery at a later date.  Contributions in his memory may be given to American Legion Keystone Post #444, 112 Legion Lane, Millheim PA 16854.
