Hazel N. Warntz, 86, of Aaronsburg, passed away Saturday January 9 in the Mount Nittany Medical Center. She was born on February 23, 1929 in Livonia a daughter of the late Randall and Dora (Stover) Bowersox.
Hazel retired from the Laurelton Center after working as a Nurse’s Aide for 27 years. After retirement she helped her husband run the Millheim Lanes Bowling Alley.
Hazel was a member of St. Peters United Church of Christ, Aaronsburg. She volunteered her time helping with various activities and church programs. Hazel enjoyed sewing gardening and spending time with her family.
In addition to her parents Hazel was preceded in death by her husband Carl.
Survivors include her daughter Dawn (Jeff) Hosterman of Spring Mills, granddaughter Jenette (Colin) Mack-Allen of Haddonfield, New Jersey, 2 greatgrandchildren Lily & Olivia and sister Violet (Fred) Ware of Canada.
A graveside service has been scheduled at St. Paul Cemetery, Aaronsburg on Thursday, January 14, at 10 am with Pastor Dawn Marie Meyer officiating.
