Larry A. Breon, 73, formerly of Coburn passed away peacefully at Hearthside in State College, PA on March 29, 2015. He was born December 21, 1941 in Bellefonte to John B. and M. Ruth (Crater) Breon, both deceased. He was also preceded in death by his brother and sister-in-law, Eugene (Dora) Breon of Spring Mills. He married his surviving spouse, Sally Milton of Millheim, on September 14, 1968. The couple celebrated 46 ½ years of marriage together.

Larry was a 1959 graduate of Penns Valley High School.  He was retired from Rockview State Correctional Institution after 29 years of service.  He was a member of the St. James United Methodist Church. Larry’s grandchildren were the “loves of his life”. He favored the outdoors and always had a dream of owning his own farm. He enjoyed hunting, farming, and was given the title “ice cream connoisseur” by his family.

Mr. Breon is survived by 2 sons; Larry (Michele) of Millheim and Kevin (Tammy) of Coburn, and 1 daughter, Crystal (Timothy) Johnson of New Berlin. Also surviving is 1 brother, John (Sharon) Breon of Notasulga, AL, 5 grandchildren; Benjamin and Virginia Johnson of New Berlin, Tyler Breon of Millheim, and Sarah and Rachel Breon of Coburn. He has 2 special God daughters; Alicia and Eryn Dutrow, along with numerous nieces and nephews.

A private graveside service will be held at the request of the family. Larry will be laid to rest at the Heckman Cemetery in Spring Mills. Memorial contributions can be made to St. James United Methodist Church or the Alzheimer’s Association in Larry’s memory. Condolences may be sent to the family at stevenrnefffuneralhome.com.
