They also raised poultry and dressed and sold chicken for 40 years. Lois had a love for baking, cooking, gardening, canning and keeping a detailed daily diary for over 37 years.  She was a loving mother who enjoyed spending time with her children playing games like scrabble, carom, and Life, shooting baskets and an occasional sled ride down the hill. Lois was a life long member of the St. John's Union Church at Farmers Mills where she took great pride in being a member of the church choir. In later years she enjoyed playing a monthly card game with her sisters and friends and continued with her love for baking where she is fondly remembered for her sugar cookies, cinnamon rolls, and cakes with million dollar frosting. Lois was an avid Grange Fair goer who enjoyed spending time with her family and friends at her tent on row North 9. Her passing will leave an empty place in the hearts of her family and friends.
