Marian (Wolfe) Rishel, 103, of Rebersburg, went home to be with her Lord April 13, 2015. She was born May 20, 1911 in Bitumen to the late parents, Bertha and John Wolfe.

On February 2, 1930, she married Harry (Jack) Rishel, who preceded her in death in 1972. Marian was a faithful member of the Rebersburg United Methodist Church. She had been employed by the Millheim Hosiery Mill and then at Gettigs Pharmaceutical in Spring Mills until she was 77 years old.

Marian is survived by her five children: Janice Smith of Madisonburg, Shirley Neideigh of Aaronsburg, Lila Harter and Thomas Rishel (Sally) of Rebersburg, and Nancy (Dennis) Motz of Millheim; 11 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren and 18 great-great grandchildren; 1 sister, Hazel Betack and 1 brother, Jennings Wolfe, both of Millheim. Sisters and brother who preceded Marian in death were Lila May, Bernice Zerby, Emmaline Burd, Virginia Wingard, Rosie Ackerman and Paul Wolfe.  She was also preceded in death by 3 son-in-laws; Gerald Harter, William Neideigh, and Willard Smith.

Marian was a long time tenter at the Grange Fair. She and her husband enjoyed sharing campfire breakfasts with the family at Poe Valley State Park, weekends camping at Gravel Springs Lodge, and taking a Sunday drive for a cone of ice cream. She also enjoyed shopping for her stylish clothes.

Marian became a resident of Salem Hill Haven in 2012. She will be sadly missed by her family and friends. The family wishes to thank Salem Hill Haven staff for their care and concern for our Mother. Also, we would like to thank the 2nd floor staff of Mt. Nittany Medical Center of State College.

Visitation for Marian will be on Friday, April 17, 2015 from 10-11 AM followed by a funeral service with Pastor Valerie Delooze officiating at the Rebersburg United Methodist Church. Marian will be laid to rest at Fairview Cemetery, Millheim. Condolences to the family may be sent to stevenrnefffuneralhome.com.
