Martha J. (Smith) Snyder

Martha J. Snyder, 79, of Bellefonte, passed away on Monday April 17th at Centre Crest Nursing Home.  Born July 24, 1937 in Bellefonte, Martha was a daughter of the late Harry G. and Annie B. “Weaver” Smith.  Martha was married to Dale Snyder who preceded her in death.

Martha is survived by one brother, Clair Smith of Milroy; one sister, Grace Fultz of Spring Mills; eight children, Connie Rice, Nancy Routz, Shirley Adams, Carol Snyder, Donna Emmil, Paul and Joseph Barker and David Snyder.   Also surviving are numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.  Martha was preceded in death by two sisters, Shirley Addelman and Mary Snyder and one brother, Harold Smith.

Martha attended Calvary Bible Church in Centre Hall.  She enjoyed working with ceramics.  She loved attending bible study at Centre Crest, music and collecting angels.

A visitation for family and friends will be held Thursday, April 20th from 6-8 pm at the Steven R. Neff Funeral Home in Millheim.  Funeral services will be held Friday, April 21st at 11 am at the funeral home with Pastor Michael Covalt officiating.  Martha will be laid to rest in the Hublersburg Cemetery.  Contributions in memory of Martha may be given to Centre Crest Auxiliary, 502 E Howard Street, Bellefonte PA 16823.
