Melody S. (Lohr) Morgan, 51, of Millheim, passed from this life on Monday, January 5, 2015 at Hershey Medical Center. Born September 6, 1963 in Bellefonte, Melody is a daughter of Allen and Carolyn (Beckenbaugh) Lohr of Aaronsburg. She was a 1982 graduate of Penns Valley Area High School and went on to attend South Hills Business School. In 1987 Melody married William “Chip” Morgan who survives at home.
Melody was a part time cafeteria worker at Rebersburg Elementary School and a full time mother and homemaker. She enjoyed gardening, cross stitch, reading, camping, but most of all she enjoyed spending time with her family. Her passing has left a huge void in our lives, but we have many memories to hold in our hearts.
In addition to her husband and parents, Melody is survived by two daughters, Brianna and Caitlin Morgan, both at home; one brother, Rodney Lohr (Christina) of Rebersburg; three nieces, Ciara, Emma, and Samantha and three nephews, Trevor, Andrew and Kyle.
In accordance with Melody’s wishes, there is no public viewing; however friends will be received from noon – 1 pm at the Salem Lutheran Church in Aaronsburg on Saturday, January 10, 2015, followed by the funeral service at 1:00 pm with Pastor Julia Sprenkle officiating. Melody will be laid to rest in Salem Lutheran Cemetery in Aaronsburg. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Melody may be given to Salem Lutheran Church, Po Box 700, Aaronsburg, PA 16820.
