Glenn E. Hennigh, 89, formerly of Spring Mills, passed away Saturday, August 26, 2017 at Centre Crest Nursing Home in Bellefonte. Born November 10, 1927 in Spring Mills, Glenn was a son of the late Henry E. and Nellie M. (Bible) Hennigh. He was a graduate of Gregg Township Vocational High School. On September 1, 1973 he married Lily Blyth Rummel, who preceded him in death on December 1, 2007.
Glenn is survived by one niece, Yvonne Bump (Greg) of Annville, PA; one nephew, Gary Hennigh (Debbie) of Wasilla, AK; two stepdaughters, L. Susan Olivo Walters and Janet M. Schlereth; one stepson, Anthony W. Rummel; six step grandchildren and twelve step great grandchildren. In addition to his wife, Glenn was preceded in death by one brother and sister in law, Spurgeon and Lefa Hennigh.
Glenn was employed by the Bureau of Forestry at the Penn Forest Tree Nursey & Woodshop on Seven Mountains. He retired June 28, 1991 with 26 years of service. He loved the outdoors and enjoyed his job building picnic tables and signs for a lot of the area state parks.
Friends will be received on Wednesday, August 30th from 1-2 pm at the Steven R. Neff Funeral Home in Millheim, followed by the memorial service at 2pm with Pastor Mike Covalt officiating. Glenn will be laid to rest in Sprucetown Cemetery. Contributions in his memory may be given to Fellowship Bible Church, c/o Mike Covalt, 263 Reeder Road, Spring Mills, PA 16875.
