Myra Buck Obituary

Myra L. “Puss” Buck, formerly of Coburn, passed from this life on Wednesday, April 25th at Ohesson Manor in Lewistown.  She was 85.  Born July 11, 1932 in Spring Mills, Myra was a daughter of the late Park A. and Lucille K. (Fiedler) Stover.  She was a 1950 graduate of East Penns Valley High School.  On February 15, 1956 she married Norman C. Buck who preceded her in death on Sept. 25, 1997. 

Myra was a farmer and homemaker all her life.  She served her community for over 20 years on the local election board, some of which she served as chairperson.  Myra was a member of the Salem United Church of Christ in Spring Mills and most of all she loved spending time with her grandchildren.

Myra is survived by four daughters, Dawn L. Dunkle (Bob Confer) of Coburn, Coleen R. Lacey (Sean) of Carlisle, Rose Marie Brown (Craig) of Julian and Giselle L. Thompson (Dave) of Woodward; one son, Clint A. Buck (Jess) of Coburn; and eleven grandchildren, Joshua, Korry (Jess), Meghan (Matt), Scott, Lacie (Rob), Blake (Lori), Caleb (Maelyn), Lydia, Elita, Jared and Owen.  Also surviving are seven great grandchildren, Haden, Ethan, Dylan, Leland, Karlie, Olivia, and Scarlett; one sister, Susan A. Foster (Albert); one brother, Robert L. Stover (Dora Mae); one sister in law, Betty Stover and numerous nieces and nephews.  In addition to her husband, Myra was preceded in death by an infant son, Michael Emerson; one sister and her husband, Doris and Carl Winters and one brother, Dean Stover.

In accordance with family wishes a Celebration of Life service will be held at a later date.  Myra will be laid to rest in Fairview Cemetery in Millheim.  Contributions in her memory may be given to Salem U.C.C., c/o Helen Sweeley, 125B Brush Mountain Road, Spring Mills, PA 16875.
