George Paul Bush

George P. Bush, 55, of Millheim, passed from this life on Saturday, October 13, 2018 at Mount Nittany Medical Center.  Born September 10, 1963 in Scranton, George was a son of the late Paul Bush and Dorothy (Billings) Bush, who survives.  George was a 1981 graduate of the Lackawanna Trail High School.  Upon graduation from high school, George enlisted in the U. S. Army where he served tours of duty in Panama, Sarajevo, Afghanistan and 2 tours in Iraq.  George ended his career with 24 years of service to our country and a final rank of Master Sargeant. 

Upon his return home George trained as and eventually became an executive chef.  He married the love of his life, Colleen Sweitzer in August of 2007.  Colleen survives at their home in Millheim.  In addition to his wife and mother, George is survived by two daughters, Katie R. Bush and Michaela Ronk and one brother, Stanley Bush.

George enjoyed cooking, of course, fishing, camping, and picnicking and spending time with his family.  He was a member of the St. James United Methodist Church in Coburn.
