Marie H. Breon, of Centre Hall, formerly of Millheim, passed from this life on Thursday, November 9th.  She was 95.  Born November 11, 1921 in Coburn, Marie was a daughter of the late Lester and Lula Hosterman.  She was a1938 graduate of East Penns Valley High School.  She then went on to attend the Jefferson School of Nursing in Philadelphia where she attained a degree as a Registered Nurse.  She was employed at the former Laurelton Center, retiring in 1981 with 25 + years of service.  Marie was united in marriage to Stewart M. (Bud) Breon, Jr. on February 14, 1943, in Millheim.  Bud preceded Marie in death on April 27, 1983.

Marie is survived by two daughters, Sandra Yohe (Jim) of State College and Joanne Jansen (Bruce) of Oil City; two sons, Kurt Breon (Lynnette) of Millheim and Mark S. Breon (Kayleen) of Mechanicsburg, OH; one sister, Yvonne Snelbaker of Camp Hill and ten grandchildren, Mark D. Breon (Ron Dental) of Portland, OR, Kevin Breon of Pittsburgh, Andrew Breon (Alyssa) of Bellefonte, Emily Spearly (Jason) of Boalsburg, Carrie Johnson (Martin) of State College, Adam Breon (Beka) of Plain City, OH, Eric Breon (Tiffany) of West Liberty, OH, Justin Weyman (Lisa) of Vienna, VA, Aaron Weyman of Centre Hall and Stewart Weyman (Leanne) of Castle Rock, CO.  Also surviving are two step grandchildren, Matt Jansen of Wexford, and Abbie Jansen of Vienna, VA, sixteen great grandchildren, a former son in law, Jeff Weyman, one sister in law, Janet (Malone) Walter,  numerous nieces and nephews and her faithful and loving canine companion, Freddie.  In addition to her husband, Marie was preceded in death by her stepfather, J. Blaine Malone, who raised her after her father passed away when she was a child, and two brothers, William Hosterman and Gus Malone.

Marie was a member of the former St. Luke’s United Methodist Church in Millheim where she was the church organist and a current member of Grace United Methodist Church in Centre Hall where she was active in the choir.  She was a music lover.  She played piano for the State College Senior Citizens band for years.  She enjoyed knitting and crocheting, making clothing and many afghan’s for her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.  In her younger years she and Bud did a lot of traveling by motorcycle and private airplane.  She was a member of the Civil Air patrol, and an Atlanta Braves fan.  She enjoyed attending Grange Fair, playing cards with family and friends and baking her famous spice cookies, which her family and friends looked forward to. Most of all, Marie loved to spend time with her family, especially during beach vacations at the Outer Banks.

Family and friends will be received on Monday, November 13th from 9:30 – 11:00 am at the Grace United Methodist Church in Centre Hall, followed by the funeral service at 11 am with Pastors Mark Messner and Judi Hulslander officiating.  Marie will be laid to rest in Fairview Cemetery in Millheim.  In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be given to the Hope Fund of Penns Valley, PO Box 427, Centre Hall, PA 16828 or to the Grace United Methodist Church, 127 Pennsylvania Ave, Centre Hall, PA 16828.
