Amy Vetter Homan, of Rebersburg, passed away Thursday, June 13, 2024, at Geisinger Medical Center in Danville. She was 59. Born August 2, 1964, in Cherokee, North Carolina, Amy was a daughter of the late Arthur R. Vetter and Carol Heisey (Doug Ripka) of Rebersburg. She was a 1982 graduate of Penns Valley Area High School. On January 15, 1994, Amy married Robert Homan who survives.
Amy was self-employed as a housekeeper and caregiver. She had previously worked at the Nittany Christian School in State College. Amy enjoyed playing her guitar and attending yard sales. She loved animals, especially her dog Pippa. She also enjoyed powwowing and collecting carousels. Most of all, Amy enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. She didn’t know any strangers, everyone was always welcome.
In addition to her mother Carol and husband Bob, Amy is survived by three daughters, Lisa R. Dix of State College and Lydia A. Homan and McKenzie R. Dix, both of Rebersburg; two sisters, Geneva R. Vetter of Selinsgrove and Judy L. Hostetler (Chris) also of Selinsgrove. Also surviving are two grandchildren, Eric and Julia Rex of Iowa.
