Arthur Herritt, Jr. Obituary

Arthur D. Herritt Jr, 83, of Bethlehem, PA and formerly of Spring Mills, PA, passed away peacefully at home in Jacksonville, NC, on June 28, 2026.  Arthur was born on August 13th, 1942, in Bethlehem, PA to Arthur D. Herritt, Sr. and Fay A. Frantz.  In 1959, while a student at Wilson Area High School, Arthur met the love of his life on a blind date, Merryann Cantalupo.  Upon graduating from Marine Corps Boot Camp approximately, a year later they were married, having two children: Arthur Anthony and Christina Marie.

Arthur loved his children and took great pride in being a father, grandfather and great grandfather.

Arthur was passionate about the Philadelphia Eagles, traveling with friends and family, new york strip steak and pork roll.  We will miss him dearly.

He is survived by his two children: Arthur A. Herritt and wife June Herritt and Christina Daley and husband Robert Daley; six grandchildren, Tabatha Olin, Samantha Tooman with husband Jordan, Sabrina Koekemoer with husband Travis, Alexander Daley, Collin Daley, and Brendon Daley.  Also surviving are eight great grandchildren.

A visitation for family and friends will be held at the Steven R. Neff Funeral Home, 120 W. Main Street, Millheim, PA on Tuesday, July 7, 2026, from 6pm to 7pm, followed by the funeral service at 7pm with Pastor Teresa Hockenberry officiating.  Military honors will be provided by the American Legion Keystone Post #444 of Millheim.

Burial will take place on Wednesday, July 8, 2026, at 1:30 pm at Indiantown Gap Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital at www.stjude.org.
