Barbara L. Sanner

Barbara L. Sanner (Dixon), 79, of Spring Mills, PA, passed away peacefully at her home on Friday, April 17th, 2026. She was born on June 28th, 1946, in Connellsville to the late Charles Dixon and Wilma Leichliter.

Barb will be remembered as a strong woman who loved her family fiercely. She was a nature lover and frequently took trips to areas of natural beauty with her husband Ken and their children. She often told stories of those adventures in great detail. In her later years, she fulfilled her love of travel and nature by reading books about the subject.

Barb was an exceptional conversationalist and enjoyed long conversations about topics like cooking, gardening, and nature. She was also a good cook and an especially good baker (her brownies will be sorely missed) and enjoyed making meals for her family.

Barb was predeceased by her husband Kenneth Sanner, daughter Kristin Sanner (Walker), and brothers Gregory Dixon and Ronald Dixon. She is survived by her children, Shelley Sanner, of Durango CO; Erik Sanner, of Spring Mills and Brock Sanner and wife Noelle, of Pittsfield. Also surviving are her grandchildren, Isaac Walker, Jaiden Sanner and Eva Sanner. A private service for the family will be held at a later date.
