Betty J. Chamberlin, 85, of Mingoville, Pa passed away at her home on Thursday, March 18, 2021. Born April 15, 1935 in Laurel, Delaware, Betty was the daughter of the late Elva J. and Pearl J. (Swain) Carey. She was a graduate of Keyport High School in Keyport, New Jersey. Luther Chamberlin, whom Betty married in 1994 survives at their home.
Betty was employed as a secretary at the former Centre County Vo-Tech, now CPI in Pleasant Gap. She retired with 19 years of service. She enjoyed reading in her spare time. A very special thank you to her granddaughter, Misty Berardi for the loving care she provided to her grandmother over the last year of her life.
In addition to her husband, Betty is survived by two sons, Michael Thomas (Wendy) of Cranberry Twp and Lance Thomas (Marie) of Bellefonte; one daughter, Judy Berardi of State College and, one sister, Barbara Brunk of Albuquerque, NM. Also surviving are ten grandchildren, Misty, Elizabeth, Ryan, Laura, Haley, Paige, Jacob, Drake, Gage and Melissa. She was preceded in death by one son, Robert Thomas, Jr., one daughter, Tracy Cornwell, one sister, Shirley Nichols and one grandson, Timothy.
In accordance with Betty’s wishes, there are no services at this time. She will be laid to rest in Salem U.C.C Cemetery during a public graveside service to be held later this summer.
