Ceclysta K. (Keene) Strouse

Ceclysta K. Strouse, of Centre Hall, passed away Sunday, October 2, 2022 at Geisinger Lewistown Hospital.  She was 52.  Born March 11, 1970 in State College, Ceclysta was a daughter of Robert Keene of Millheim and the late Gwendolyn “Swartz” Keene.  On September 14, 1991, Ceclysta married Dennis W. Strouse who survives in Spring Mills.

Also surviving is one daughter, Sara Wert (Justin) of Bellefonte and one son, Nathan Strouse of Yarnell: one brother, Robert Keene and two granddaughters, Alayna and Addyson Wert.  In addition to her mother, Ceclysta was preceded in death by her beloved canine friend, Kiki. 

Ceclysta was a 1988 graduate of Penns Valley Area High School and the former Centre County Vo-Tech School, now CPI.  She was employed as Certified Dental Assistant at Brian White Dental Associates in State College.  She was an avid dog lover and along with her children raised Seeing Eye service dogs.  She loved cooking, indoor plants and doing dried flower arrangements.  Her children were the world to her along with her granddaughters when they were born.  

Family and friends will be received on Monday, October 10, 2022 from noon until 1:00 pm at the Steven R. Neff Funeral Home in Millheim.  The funeral will immediately follow with Pastor Mike Covalt officiating.  Ceclysta will be laid to rest in the Salem Lutheran Cemetery in Aaronsburg.  Contributions in her memory may be sent to the Steven R.
