Charlotte C. Goodman, formerly of Boalsburg, passed away peacefully at her home in Spring Mills on Saturday, June 17, 2023. She was 91. Born December 21, 1931, in Spring Mills, Charlotte was a daughter of the late Frank and Naomi (Reitz) Stricker. She was a 1949 graduate of State College High School. She was first married to Robert W. Farwell who preceded her in death. Later she married Ralph Goodman who also preceded her in death.
Charlotte is survived by two sons, Will Farwell (Dana) of Spring Mills and Brad Farwell (Lisa) of Mt. Sidney, VA; four grandchildren, Sara Coons, Curtis Farwell, Joshua Farwell and Eve Farwell. Also surviving is one great grandchild, Joseph Coons and Charlotte’s canine best friends, Chloe and Winston. She was preceded in death by one grandson, Robert Farwell and her sister, Alice Shuey.
Charlotte was employed as a secretary at Penn State University with 20 years of service. She was a member of the St. John’s United Church of Christ in Boalsburg, the Aaronsburg Civic Club where she had been secretary and the Tussey Mountain Ski Club. Charlotte was an avid cross country and downhill skier. Because of her love for traveling, she had enjoyed the sport in various places around the world. Charlotte also enjoyed figure skating, gardening and she loved to cook.
A Celebration of Life service is possible at a later date and will be announced if it occurs. Contributions in memory of Charlotte may be given to the Penns Valley EMS, 106 Ross Hill Road, Spring Mills, PA 16875 or to The Hope Fund of Penns Valley. POB 427, Centre Hall, PA 16828.
