Connie J. Rowles, of Spring Mills, passed away Friday, March 27, 2026, at Mount Nittany Medical Center. She was 74. Born July 13, 1951, in Bellefonte, Connie was a daughter of the late Roy E. and Roberta E. (Youtz) Ripka – Hubert. She was a 1969 graduate of Penns Valley High School and a 1987 graduate of Juniata-Mifflin Counties Area Vocational – Technical School, where she completed the practical nursing program. She was married to Jeffrey L.Rowles who preceded her in death in 2008.
Connie was employed as an LPN at the Heart of the Rockies Regional Medical Center in Salida, CO and then at SKILLS of Central PA before health issues led to her retirement. Connie was passionate about nursing and proud of her work. She especially loved working with babies in the hospital nursery. She also loved animals and cared deeply for her pets. Most importantly, Connie was a loving mother and grandmother to her children and grandchildren.
Connie is survived by one daughter, Angie Rowles of Gunnison, CO; two sons, Taran Rowles (Elise) of Spring Mills and Joseph Rowles of Sargents, CO and one sister, Darlene Rhoads of Aaronsburg. Also surviving are two grandchildren, Casey Lane Rowles and Kayle Lynn Rowles of Gunnison, CO and nieces and nephews. She also leaves behind her beloved pets, Chloe and Fudgie. Connie was preceded in death by one sister, Nedra Meyer and her infant twin sister, Bonnie.
In accordance with family wishes, all services are private. Contributions in memory of Connie may be given to St. Judes Children’s Hospital.
