Surrounded by her loving family, Connie Lee Trauger, of Millheim, passed away at her home on November 10, 2022, after a courageous battle with pancreatic cancer. She was 78. Born February 10, 1944, in Bellefonte, Connie was a daughter of the late Boyd E. and Betty J. (Frazier) Stover.
Surviving are three sons, Scott (Joy-Lynn) of Millheim, Robb (Roxanne) of Aldan and Todd of Centre Hall; three siblings, Gary “Jake” Stover of Millheim, Candace Ream (Ron) of Aaronsburg and Anthony “Joe” Stover (Laurie) of Pleasant Gap. Her sons blessed her with six grandchildren, Jennifer Feeser (Brian), Jaime Marchese (Michael), Zachary Trauger, Troy Trauger, Mya Trauger, and Jackson Trauger, as well as two great grandchildren, Mitchell and Makenzie Feeser. Also surviving is her former husband, Harry Trauger of Mechanicsburg. In addition to her parents, Connie was preceded in death by a great grandson Ryan Marchese, her stepfather, Richard Benner and her sister in law, Janice Stover.
Connie had been employed as a Dental Assistant with Penns Valley Dental. She was a member of the Salem Lutheran Church in Aaronsburg, the Millheim American Legion Ladies Auxiliary and the Aaronsburg Civic Center where her favorite job was to assist with making stickies at the bake oven during Dutch Fall Days. She was a wonderful cook and loved to entertain family and friends. She also had many wonderful Amish friends. Connie never met a stranger; she could always start a conversation with someone she didn’t know and become friends. One of her favorite past times was to join her sister Candy and nieces at the beach where she simply loved to sit and just watch and listen to the waves.
The family would like to thank all the friends and neighbors who provided transportation to her medical appointments and UPMC Family Hospice for their wonderful care of Connie.
Family and friends will be received on Friday, November 18, 2022, from 10:00 am until noon at the Salem Lutheran Church in Aaronsburg, followed by a Celebration of Connie’s Life with Pastor Becky Horn officiating. Connie will be laid to rest in the Salem Lutheran Cemetery beside the church. In lieu of flowers, contributions in her memory may be given to the Hope Fund of Penns Valley, PO Box 427, Centre Hall, PA 16828.
