Daniel B. Lapp, of Madisonburg, died after a brief illness at a hospital in Mexico. He was 68. Born in Lancaster, Daniel was a son of the late Jacob M. and Katie (Beiler) Lapp. He was married to Sarah (Lantz) Lapp who survives. Daniel was the owner of Fisher’s Shoe and Saddle Shop in Madisonburg. He was a member of the Old Order Amish Church.
In addition to his wife, Daniel is survived by nine children, Stephen Lapp (Sadie King Lapp), Annie Smucker (Daniel) both of Rebersburg, Eli Lapp (Lizzie Zook Lapp), Barbara Fisher (Abner) Henry Lapp (Erma Allgyer Lapp), all of Madisonburg, Naomi King (Abram) of Nicktown, PA, Daniel B. Lapp, Jr. at home, Katie Lapp of Port Matilda and Jacob Lapp of Vermont.
Also surviving are siblings, Eli Lapp (Gail) of FL, Henry Lapp (Rebecca) of Kirkwood, Annie Hershberger (Christ) of East Earl: brother in law, Ammon Stoltzfus (Savilla) of Lancaster: step-brothers, Stephen Stoltzfus (Katie), Emanuel Stoltzfus (Fannie), Isaac Stoltzfus (Mary), Levi Stoltzfus (Elsie), Bennie Stoltzfus (late Sarann), Jonas Stoltzfus (Nancy), Aaron Stoltzfus (Lydiann), Amos Stoltzfus (Sally), Sam Stoltzfus (Maryann): step-sisters, Malinda Blank (late Sam), Rachel Esh (David), Sarah Fisher (Aaron), step-brothers-in-law, Samuel Fisher (late Susie), Jacob Fisher (Naomi and late Rebecca): step-sisters-in-law, Emma Stoltzfus (late Dannie), Sarann Stoltzfus (late Elmer) and twenty nine grandchildren.
Daniel was preceded in death by a sister, Rachel Stoltzfoos and his stepmother, Sarah (Stoltzfus) Lapp.
