Darlene L. (Kreamer) Johnson

Darlene L. Johnson, formerly of Spring Mills and State College, passed away Wednesday, May 7, 2025, at Mount Nittany Medical Center in State College.  She was 64.  Born October 10, 1960, in Bellefonte, Darlene was a daughter of the late Maurice G. and Beulah "Confer" Kreamer.  She attended Penns Valley Area High School and later attained her GED.  Darlene was employed at the former Sound Technology Inc, now GE Medical in State College, with twenty-five years of service.  Darlene was divorced from her husband, Jerry Johnson at an early age and never remarried.  He survives in Northumberland County. 

Darlene was of the Protestant faith. Darlene was an avid lover of animals. She was often found stopping to check on animals that were outside. She had a compassion for animals that went far beyond anything else. She took in and raised many on her own. She was also an avid lover of baking. Darlene was an artist in the kitchen when it came to moist cakes. Her favorite was chocolate and peanut butter icing.  The most important thing to her was her family, especially her close relatives, and her grandchildren, she loved them dearly!! 

Darlene is survived by one son, Joshua Johnson of State College: one sister, Yvonne L. Kreamer of Jersey Shore: two grandchildren, Joshua Johnson, Jr. and Dillon Johnson and one nephew, Eric Kreamer of Spring Mills.  In addition to her parents, Darlene was preceded in death by one sister, Diane Kreamer and one brother, Elvis Kreamer. 

Family and friends will be received on Monday, May 12, 2025, from 12 noon until 2:00 pm at Steven R. Neff Funeral Home in Millheim.  The funeral will follow at 2:00 pm with Pastor Michael Covalt officiating.  Darlene will be laid to rest in Fairview Cemetery in Millheim.  Contributions in her memory may be given to Steven R. Neff Funeral Home, POB 437, Millheim PA 16854.
