Following his retirement, he and his wife purchased a motorhome and traveled to many states with Laborers for Christ building churches. It was a wonderful second career that lasted 7 years and 7 building projects.
In 1966, he met the love of his life, Connie Cook, and together they raised four children, Todd, Steven, Daniel (Anne) and Karen (Sean). They also have nine grandchildren, Emily, Eleanor, Elizabeth, Benjamin, Isabell, Joseph, Spencer, Bradley, and ‘Maggie’. His family was the joy of his life and he always looked forward to spending time with them.
