David D. Lingle

David D. Lingle, of Spring Mills, passed away suddenly at his home on Thursday, November 3, 2022.  He was 62.  Born October 3, 1960, in Lock Haven, Dave was a son of the late Robert C. Lingle, Sr. and Gladys F. (Klinefelter) Lingle.  He was a 1978 graduate of Penns Valley Area High School.

Dave was the owner of David Lingle Custom Homes and built many homes in the area.  He was a member of the Smith Pletcher American Legion Post 779 in Centre Hall, the Pleasant Gap American Legion Post 867 and the Millheim Fire Company and Club.  Dave was a Penn State and Pittsburgh sports fan.  When he wasn’t working, he enjoyed traveling, especially riding his Trike.  His favorite destination was Florida where he spent the winters.

Dave is survived by two sons, Matthew Lingle (Georgia) of Spring Mills and Kyle A. Lingle (Victoria) of Elizabeth and five grandchildren, Kenzia, Chassidy, Takoda, Zoey and Christian.  Also surviving are siblings, Janice Johnsonbaugh (Darl) of Bellefonte, Marcia Lingle of State College, Robert Lingle, Jr. (Darlene) of Centre Hall, Amy Snare (Jim) of Aaronsburg and his sister-in-law, Hope Lingle.  In addition to his parents, Dave was preceded in death by one brother, Kevin E. Lingle.

A Celebration of Life service will be held on November 15, 2022, from 4-7 pm, downstairs, at the Smith Pletcher American Legion in Centre Hall. Contributions in memory of Dave may be given to Penns Valley EMS, 106 Ross Hill Road, Spring Mills, PA 16875.  Arrangements were entrusted to the Steven R. Neff Funeral Home in Millheim.
