Deborah McCool Obituary

Deborah Lea “Debbie” McCool, of Rebersburg, passed away Sunday, April 5, 2026, after an extended illness.  She was 61.  Born August 7, 1964, in Omaha, NE, Debbie was a daughter of the late James Wood and Gloria J. (Classy) Wood who survives in FLA.  On July 24, 1993, Debbie married Joseph D. “Joe” McCool who preceded her in death on October 30, 2025.

In addition to her mother, Debbie is survived by three children, Samantha Bressler (Neal Boob) of Spring Mills with whom she had resided for the past few months, Ben Prough of Rebersburg and Madison McCool of New York City; four siblings, James Wood (Amanda), Thomas Wood (Melissa), Michael Foreman (Jen) and Sue Struble (John).  Also surviving are five grandchildren, Allison, Westley, Alaina, Natalie and Conner along with two step grandchildren, Geno and William.  In addition to her husband Joe and father James, Debbie was preceded in death by her stepfather, John Foreman and her sister, Sharon Youtzy.

After graduation from High School, Debbie went on to attain her certification to be a Certified Nurse’s Aide.  She was employed at several facilities in the local area.  She enjoyed gardening with her grandchildren and going on picnics, especially to Poe Valley and R.B. Winter State parks.  Riding motorcycle was another favorite pastime, especially when she and Joe could ride his Harley to the rally at Sturgis, SD.  Debbie was a member of the Millheim Fire Co and also enjoyed baking and getting together with her treasured family and friends.

A gathering of family and friends will be held on Saturday, April 11, 2026, at 3:00 pm at the Millheim Hotel.  Contributions in memory of Debbie may be given to Steven R. Neff Funeral Home, POB 437, Millheim, PA 16854.
