Donna Rae Petersen

Donna Rae Petersen, of Aaronsburg, passed away December 22, 2025, at Mount Nittany Medical Center.  She was 83.  Born October 12, 1942, in Monroeton, PA, Donna was a daughter of the late Faryl L. Coolbaugh.

Donna is survived by her longtime significant other, Keith Benner of Aaronsburg; three sons, William Stroup (Michelle), John Sell and Brian Stroup (Laura); two stepsons, Carl Benner (Roxanne) and Gerald Benner (Michelle) and one stepdaughter, Dee Benner.  Also surviving are two siblings and numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Donna enjoyed adult coloring, flower gardening and caring for her houseplants.  She collected wolves and dream catchers and loved to go shopping for jewelry.  She also enjoyed traveling with Keith and attending Grange Fair every year.

Services will be held at a later date after which Donna will be laid to rest in Fairview Cemetery West in Millheim.  In lieu of flowers, contributions in memory of Donna may be given to Penns Valley EMS, 106 Ross Hill Road, Spring Mills, PA 16875.  Arrangements were entrusted to the Steven R. Neff Funeral Home.
