Eva R. “Miller” Esh, of Madisonburg, passed away at her home on Thursday, November 2, 2023. She was 80. Born August 20, 1943, in Leola, Eva was a daughter of the late Amos and Fannie “Renno” Miller. On October 29, 1964, she married Jacob K. Esh who survives.
In addition to her husband, Eva is survived by two daughters, Linda Fisher (John) and Mary Fisher (Levi) both of Wayne County, IN; six sons, Stephen M. of Platteville, WI, Amos M. of Henry County, IN, and Elmer M., Aaron Z., Jacob K. Jr., and Eli M. all of Centre County, PA.
Also surviving are siblings, Lizzie Stoltzfus (Christ) of Rebersburg, Mattie Esh (Mike) of Quarryville, Lydia Lapp widow of Jonas, of Quarryville, Mary Stoltzfus widow of Levi, of Kirkwood, David Miller, Henry Miller and Levi Miller of Leola and Amos Miller of Christianna, along with fifty-four grandchildren and twenty-four great grandchildren. Eva was preceded in death by eight grandchildren.
Visitation was held from 9 am until 7 pm at the Esh home on Friday, November 3, 2023. The funeral was held on November 4, 2023, at 10:00 am at the Esh home. Eva will be laid to rest in Elk Creek Cemetery.
