Fernette P. Schulin, a loving wife and mother, died at her home in Aaronsburg, PA, on Sunday, January 31, 2021 with her children at her side. Born in Washington D.C., on April 15, 1936, Fernette (nee Hudlow) spent most of her childhood in the Philadelphia area where she graduated from Eddystone High School and volunteered at Crozer Hospital. That’s where she met her husband to be, Robert Schulin--they married in 1956 and settled in Rifeton, PA.
Fernette was loved by all who knew her. She spent her life in service to others; she was a long-time Jehovah’s Witness associated with the State College congregation. Fernette was an avid gardener, talented seamstress, and much admired for her home cooking.
Fernette is survived by two brothers, Thomas Hudlow and Martin Hudlow and a sister, Mary Berthe, as well as three children, Daniel Schulin, Nina Evans and Diana Schulin, three grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
A memorial service in her honor will be planned later this spring. Online condolences may be sent to the family at www.stevenrnefffuneralhome.com.
