Frederick Johnson

Frederick Johnson, formerly of Rebersburg, passed away at The Gatehouse in Williamsport on Monday, December 16, 2024.  He was 78.  Born November 19, 1946, in Jersey Shore, Frederick was a son of the late William and Thelma “Hoy” Johnson.  On January 17, 1970, he married Sandra E. “Sandy” Yetter who preceded him in death on February 7, 2021. 

Frederick attended Jersey Shore Area High School where he was involved with weightlifting.  He was employed as a meat packer at Thompson’s in Jersey Shore.  He had been a former bartender at the Miles Township Fireman’s Club.  Frederick was an avid lover of Penn State Football and enjoyed fishing, McDonald’s coffee and traveling.  He loved nature, being outdoors and watching the Discovery Channel. 

Frederick is survived by two daughters, Shelly L. Regel (Robert) of Bellefonte and Jaclyn Tucker (Josh) of Centre Hall; one brother, Dean Johnson of Avis; one sister, Cindy Breon (Barry) of McElhattan and four grandchildren, Makayla Clouser (Nick), Emma Regel, Liam Tucker and Elijah Tucker and one sister-in-law, Deeann Zimmerman (Joe).  In addition to his parents and wife, Frederick was preceded in death by one daughter, Rebecca Johnson; siblings, John, Donald, Richard, Norma and Bethel; one son-in-law, Colin and one sister-in-law, Donna.

In accordance with Frederick’s wishes, all services are private.  He will be laid to rest in Lutheran and Reformed Cemetery in Rebersburg.  Contributions in memory of Frederick may be given to the Penns Valley Hope Fund, POB 427, Centre Hall, PA 16828.
