Henry E. “Hank” Kerstetter, formerly of Aaronsburg, passed away Saturday, August 7, 2021 at Wynwood House in Centre Hall. He was 75. Born February 11, 1946 in Bellefonte, Hank was a son of the late Leonard F. and Verna M. “Sproul” Kerstetter. He was a 1964 graduate of Penns Valley Area High School.
Hank was a long time employee of the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation. He was a member of St. Peters United Church of Christ in Aaronsburg, the Millheim Fire Company and, a former member of the Millheim Lions Club. Hank enjoyed making his rounds at the local coffee club. Most of all he enjoyed spending time with his family.
Hank is survived by two sisters, Mary Hettinger (Randall) of Rebersburg and Marlene Gotshall (Larry) of Mifflinburg; three brothers, William T. “Dave” Kerstetter (Patsy) and Kenneth A. Kerstetter (Karen) both of Mifflinburg and Edward W. Kerstetter (Barb) of Millheim. Also surviving is a sister in law, Mary Kerstetter of Aaronsburg. Hank was preceded in death by one sister, Lois Kerstetter and five brothers, Cloyd, Jimmy, Thomas, Robert “Red” and Eugene Kerstetter.
Family and friends will be received from 9:30-11:00 am at the St. Peters United Church of Christ in Aaronsburg on Friday, August 13, 2021 followed by the Celebration of Life Service at 11:00 am with Pastor Teresa Hockenberry officiating. Hank will be laid to rest at a later date in the Reformed Cemetery in Aaronsburg. Contributions in memory of Hank may be given to the St. Peters UCC, PO Box 87, Aaronsburg, PA 16820.
