On November 30, 2019, Mom got her final wish, she joined her Wolfie again.
Born Hester Hannah Wingard on February 8, 1923 in Aaronsburg, Hester was a daughter of the late Raymond Lee Wingard and Susan Rebecca (Musser) Wingard. On April 6, 1945, Hester married her sweetheart, Lawrence Jerome Wolfe (Wolfie) who preceded her in death on November 19, 2015.
Hester graduated from East Penns Valley High in 1942. Her first job was a welder (1941 to 1947) at the former Piper Aircraft in Lock Haven. From 1968-1987, she was employed by Penn State University in Housing and Food Services.
Surviving are two daughters, Rosemary Shearer and Devra Wolfe. Also preceding her in death was a son in law, Charles Shearer.
In accordance with Hester's wishes, she will be laid to rest during
a private service in Fairview Cemetery. Contributions in her memory may be given to Penns Valley God's Missionary Church, 109 Evergreen Lane, Spring Mills, PA 16875.
