Holly K. (Covalt) Rowles

Our loving wife and mother, Holly K. Rowles of Spring Mills, passed unexpectedly into the arms of Jesus on Thursday, December 2, 2021 at her home.  She was 56.  Born December 10, 1964 in Waynesboro, Holly was a daughter of the late Merrill “Tony” and Margaret Kay “Swope” Covalt.  She was a 1984 graduate of Penns Valley Area High School.  On April 27, 1985, Holly married the love of her life Charles “Chub” Rowles who survives.

In addition to her husband, Holly is survived by three daughters, Emilee White (Will), Sallee Rowles (Josh Hart) and Tonee Flick (Carl); four brothers, Jody Covalt (Beth), Michael Covalt (Juanita), Paul M. Covalt (Phyllis) and M. Keith Covalt (Tiffany).  Also surviving are six grandchildren, Matthew, Kaylee, Kelsee, Liam, Wendle, and Millee. 

Holly attended Fellowship Bible church since she was a little girl and was the church pianist. She was the third member of the Covalt family, known locally for their gospel concerts in Penns Valley.  She loved singing, playing the piano, cooking, shopping trips with Pap and the grandkids (who were her pride and joy), watching Hallmark movies, and collecting cardinals.  Another favorite activity was baking cookies with Chub.  Holly loved Christmas, even the Grinch.  Most of all, Holly loved to spend time with her family.  Her sudden passing has left a huge void in our lives and she will be terribly missed. 

A visitation for family and friends will be held on Sunday, December 5, 2021 from 6-9 pm at the Fellowship Bible Church on Lower Georges Valley Road.  A second visitation will be held at the church on Monday, December 6, 2021 from 10:00 – 11:00 am, followed immediately by the funeral service with Pastor Mike Covalt officiating.  Holly will be laid to rest in the Mountain Cemetery in Spring Mills.  Contributions in memory of Holly may be given to the Fellowship Bible Church, 263 Reeder Road, Spring Mills PA 16875.  Online condolences may be sent to the family at www.stevenrnefffuneralhome.com.
