James C. Bressler, formerly of Rebersburg, passed away Saturday, July 19, 2025, at Lock Haven Rehabilitation and Senior Living. He was 94. Born August 27, 1930, James was a son of the late Steril and Martha (Stover) Bressler. He was a graduate of the former Gregg Township Vocational High School. On May 21, 1956, James married Delores I. McHenry who preceded him in death.
James helped his father on the family farm but was then drafted into the U.S. Army and served our country during the Korean War from 1952-1953. After his arrival back home, he was employed at the former Marblehead Lime plant in Pleasant Gap and retired from there. He enjoyed hunting and fishing and spending time with his family, especially going on picnics at Poe Valley State Park.
James is survived by two daughters, Rebecca D. Warntz (Dan) of Wilkes Barre and Cynthia B. Peters of Lock Haven: two sons, Jesse M. Bressler (Juliann) of Selinsgrove and James M. Bressler of Millheim and numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, and one great great grandchild. He was preceded in death by his daughter Amy I. Myers, brother, Stover Bressler, son-in-law, Barry Peters, and daughter-in-law, Rose Bressler.
At the request of the family there will be a private burial at a later date. Memorial contributions may be given to the charity of donor’s choice.
