Jeannie E. Long

Jeannie E. Long, of Millheim, passed away December 18, 2024, at Celebration Villa in State College.  She was 84.  Born December 3, 1940, in Lock Haven, Jeannie was a daughter of the late Harold L. and Ada Mae “Rogers” Elliott.  She was a graduate of Lock Haven High School.  On April 7, 1958, Jeannie married Wayne A. Long who preceded her in death on March 2, 2010. 

Jeannie did all the bookkeeping for the business, Long’s Auto Parts, that Wayne operated in Millheim.  She was a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church in Millheim, the ladies Red Hat society and the big card club.  Jeannie enjoyed singing, reading, doing ceramics and Penn State football.

Jeannie is survived by two daughters, Lynnann Long (Dennis Gates) of Millheim and Amy Walker (Mike) of State College; one sister, Patricia O’dell; four grandchildren, Reana Donaldson of Reedsville, Trevor Meyer (Marilyn) of Bellefonte, Seth Gates of Millheim, and Tenille Jordan (Adam) of York.  Also surviving are eight great grandchildren, Haven, Teller and Colt Gates, Rustin, Declan and Cullen Donaldson and Easton and Emmett Jordan.  In addition to her husband, Jeannie was preceded in death by her sister, Dorothy.

In accordance with Jeannie’s wishes, there are no services.  Contributions in her memory may be given to St. John’s Lutheran Church, POB 439, Millheim, PA 16854 or to the Hope Fund of Penns Valley, POB 427, Centre Hall, PA 16828.
