Joyce B. (Stover) Tressler

Joyce B. Tressler, of Spring Mills, passed away at her home on July 3, 2020.  She was 83.  Born September 8, 1936 in Spring Mills, Joyce was a daughter of the late Seymore P. and Pauline S. (Confer) Stover.  She was a 1954 graduate of the former Gregg Township Vocational School in Spring Mills.  On December 1, 1960, Joyce married Wayne Tressler who survives.

In addition to her husband, Joyce is survived by five siblings, Dolores Earnest, Barbara Butts (Frank), Lester Stover (Betty), James Stover (Kay) and Frederick Stover (Nancy).  Also surviving are numerous nieces and nephews.  She was preceded in death by one sister, Diana J. King; one brother, Gary P. Stover and, her beloved furbaby Max.

Joyce was first employed at the former Town & Country department store in State College.  She then moved her employment to Gettig Pharmaceutical in Spring Mills and retired from there.  Joyce enjoyed watching tv, talking on the phone with her friends and, watching the hummingbirds  Most of all she liked to spend time with her family.

In accordance with Joyce’s wishes, there are no services scheduled.  She will be laid to rest in Heckman Cemetery.  Contributions in Joyce’s memory may be given to Centre County Paws, 1401 Trout Road, State College PA 16801.
