Kathryn Mae Stoner, 73, of Spring Mills, PA, passed away at her residence surrounded by her loving family on Saturday, January 25, 2025. She was born on January 10,1952 in Lewistown, to the late Russell and Grace (Smith) Ronk. She was part of the 1971 graduating class from Penns Valley High School. Kathryn married John I. Stoner at the Green Grove Brethren in Christ Church on June 19, 1971.
Kathryn was an army housewife with five children. While John was stationed in Virginia, Texas and Germany, Kathyrn was there to support him for the twenty-six years that he served in the military. She showed her love for her family by planning and hosting many picnics, parties and family events that were held at her church. She enjoyed spending time tending her flowers and making sure her vegetable garden produced well.
Left behind to cherish her memories are John, her husband of fifty-three years; five children; Tina Stimer (Jerry) of Julian, Tracy Day of Millmont, Carrie Swartz (Jason) of Millheim, John R. Stoner (Mary) of Spring Mills and Cory Stoner (Jessica) of Mill Hall; fourteen grandchildren, Shane Purves (Amber), Jay Stimer (Sage), Christina Purves (Chris), Curtis Swartz (Emma), Samantha Stimer (Conor), Marshall Stoner (Samantha), Alex Stimer (Lukas), Wyatt Swartz, Lane Swartz, Nicholas Stoner, Dalton Stoner, Eliza Stoner, Blake Stoner and Piper Swartz. Also surviving are three great grandchildren, Isabella Day, Hudson Purves and River Kile. Kathryn was preceded in death by siblings; William, Nancy, Keith, and Kenneth Ronk and an infant brother.
At the request of her family there will be a private gathering in honor of Kathryn's life and memory. Contributions in memory of Kathryn may be given to the Salem United Church of Christ, c/o Peg Swartz, 638 Tattletown Road, Aaronsburg PA 16820.
