Kevin Lingle Obituary

Kevin E. “Kev-boy” Lingle, of Aaronsburg, passed away June 30, 2021 from injuries sustained in a car accident.  He was 64.  Born August 11, 1956 in Bellefonte, Kevin was a son of the late Robert C. Lingle, Sr. and Gladys F. “Klinefelter” Lingle.  He was a 1975 graduate of Penns Valley Area High School.  On June 28, 1975, Kevin married the love of his life, his childhood sweetheart, Hope Mersinger who survives.

Kevin was a familiar face in the Millheim/Aaronsburg area.  He was a long time member of the Millheim Fire Company, where he served the community in many capacities.  He was always thinking of other people before himself and would help anyone in their time of need if he could do so.  He was employed at the former Corning/Asahi company in State College with 28 ½ years of service.  During the summer months he worked for Packer’s concessions of Centre Hall and during the winter months he worked as a dispatcher for the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation.  He and Hope enjoyed camping at Black Panther Riding Club, Benezette and Knoebels.  Kevin could be found at the local coffee club at Long’s Auto Parts where he also assisted with unpacking and shelving of parts and the store customer appreciation day.  He enjoyed his time spent with family and friends, cooking for get-togethers, especially the annual Chicken Liver fry that was held at the family camp on July 4th.  He also was an avid Penn State and L.A. Rams football fan.  Rest easy “Kev-boy”, we will truly miss your generous heart and giving spirit.

In addition to his wife Hope, Kevin is survived by three children, Cory Lingle (Tammi), Heidi Miller (Jim) both of Aaronsburg and, Jeremy Lingle (Ali) of Centre Hall; five siblings, Janice Johnstonbaugh (Darl) of Petersburg, Marcia Lingle of Pleasant Gap, Robert Lingle, Jr. (Darlene) of Centre Hall, David Lingle of Spring Mills and Amy Snare (Jim) of Aaronsburg.  Also surviving are two grandchildren, Wyatt Miller and Rileigh Lingle, along with numerous nieces and nephews.  In addition to his parents, Kevin was preceded in death by one grandson, Robert Styers III.

A service is being planned for a future date and will be announced.

Contributions in memory of Kevin may be given to Penns Valley EMS, 106 Ross Hill Road, Spring Mills, PA 16875 or to the Hope Fund of Penns Valley, PO Box 427, Centre Hall, PA 16828.  Kevin will be laid to rest in Fairview West Cemetery in Millheim.
