Lee A. Hockenberry, of Aaronsburg, passed away on Sunday, November 24, 2019. He was 82. Born August 14, 1937 in Bellefonte, Lee was a son of the late Harry and Laura “Stover” Hockenberry. Upon graduation from high school Lee served his country in the U. S. Army during the Vietnam Conflict. He was united in marriage to Loretta D. Brungart who survives at their home.
Also surviving is one daughter, Louise Butler (Robert) of Millheim; two sons, Terry Hockenberry (Lori) of Aaronsburg and Todd Hockenberry (Betsy) of Spring Mills; one brother, Malcolm “Mac” Hockenberry of Bellefonte; five grandchildren, Paige, Grace, Kyle, Inica and Jason, and five great grandchildren, Jolene, Carley, Megan, Liam and Zayden. Lee was preceded in death by eleven siblings.
Lee was employed as a woodworker and carpenter. He loved to make furniture for his friends and family. He enjoyed tinkering around with his antique cars, and especially spending time at his camp along the river. Lee was a member of the American Legion Keystone Post #444 and the Millheim Fire Company.
In accordance with Lee’s wishes all services will be private. Contribution’s in Lee’s memory may be given to the American Cancer Society.
