Leo was employed as an over the road truck driver for the steel mill, Milton Manufacturing.  He was a member of the Union County Sportsman Club and he enjoyed hunting.  He was a former member of the Woodward Cemetery Committee.  After retirement, Leo and Katherine enjoyed camping at the Squirrel Hill Campground where they made many friends.  They also enjoyed camping at Grange Fair.  In his earlier years, Leo worked for Garbrick Amusements as a welder and, also for Harold Ard Sales and Service where he repaired tractors and drove school bus.  In later years, Leo enjoyed having breakfast and coffee at Burkholder’s Market every day.  Most of all, Leo loved time spent with his family, especially his grandchildren with whom he had a special relationship.  He always told his family “he loved living where he could see Roundtop”.
