With her family by her side, Linda Lou Pecht, formerly of Coburn, passed away Thursday, November 9, 2023, after a long struggle with cancer. She was 74. Born March 12, 1949, in Bellefonte, Linda was a daughter of the late Stanley and Charlotte “Kerstetter” Wance.

Linda is survived by one daughter, Janice R. Bilger (James) of Coburn; two sons, Kenneth H. Pecht, Jr. (Billie Jo) also of Coburn and Paul Shreckengast of Millheim; three siblings, Kay Swan of State College, Susan Wheeler of Lock Haven and Mike Wance of NC.

Also surviving are grandchildren, James E. Bilger, II (Kayla), Joshua E. Bilger, Elizabeth Bressler (Kenton), Justin Pecht, Nathan Pecht, Nick Pecht, Cody Shreckengast and Brody Shreckengast, along with great grandchildren, Montana Bilger, Emma Bilger, Myah Bilger, McKenna Bilger, Kylie Bressler, Kaelynn Bressler, Kennedy Bressler and Korie Bressler. Linda was preceded in death by one brother, Rodney Wance.

Linda was employed as a laborer at the former Gettig Pharmaceutical in Spring Mills. She taught Vacation Bible School at the former Coburn Elementary School. Linda loved gardening, baking, coloring and hosting family get togethers. Most of all, she loved spending time with family and friends playing games.

In accordance with Linda’s wishes there are no services.
