Mary J. (Auman) Dugan

Mary J. Dugan, of Lewistown, passed away Wednesday, October 25, 2023, at Greenwood Center for Nursing and Rehabilitation in Lewistown.  She was 96.  Born June 28, 1927, in Mill Hall, Mary was a daughter of the late Jacob and Jennie “Shaffer” Auman.  She was married to Elwood Dugan who preceded her in death.

Mary was employed in various jobs throughout her life.  Her favorites were working in a flower shop and working with designer clothing in a factory where they were made.  She enjoyed crafting, knitting and crocheting and raising flowers in her backyard. 

Mary is survived by one daughter, Linda Hobbel of TN: one brother, Gene Auman (Shirley) of Lewistown, along with grandchildren and great grandchildren.  In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by three brothers, Kenneth, James and Dean Auman and one sister, Margaret Baker. 

Mary will be laid to rest in Fairview Cemetery in Millheim during a graveside service that will be held on Monday, October 30, 2023 at 11:00 with Pastor Teresa Hockenberry officiating.  Contributions in memory of Mary may be given to the charity of donor’s choice.  The Steven R. Neff Funeral Home assisted the family with the arrangements.
