Mary L. Wolfe, formerly of Rebersburg, passed away Friday, July 29, 2022 at Wynwood House in Centre Hall. She was 95. Born February 25, 1927 in Loganton, Mary was a daughter of the late Martin A. and Thelma L. “Welshans” Douty. She attended Sugar Valley schools. She was married to Harold M. Confer, John E. Wilcox, and Albert Wolfe all who preceded Mary in death.
Mary is survived by one son, Larry L. Confer (Sandra) of Centre Hall; two stepdaughters, Sharon I. Peffer (Ronald) of Winfield and Sandra N. Warren (Donald) of Lewisburg; three stepsons, John Wilcox (Donna) of CO, Alan D. Wolfe of Winfield and Terry L. Wolfe (Edna Sue) of TX. Also surviving is one brother Walter Douty (Vivian) of Lock Haven and numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren. Mary was preceded in death by an infant son, John H. Confer; one step-daughter, Wanda Bowersox; two brothers, Alan and Fred Douty and two sisters, Bertha Hinds and Sandra Renzo.
Mary was a member of the St. Peters United Church of Christ in Rebersburg and most recently attended the Grace United Methodist Church in Centre Hall. She enjoyed camping, fishing, word search puzzles, watching T.V. and flower gardening.
Family and friends will be received on Tuesday, August 2, 2022 from 10:00 am until 11:00 am at the Grace United Methodist Church in Centre Hall. The funeral service will follow at 11:00 am with Rev. Julie Holm officiating. Mary will be laid to rest in the Evangelical Cemetery in Rebersburg. Contributions in memory of Mary may be given to the St. Peters UCC, PO Box 156, Rebersburg, PA 16872.
