Michael Richard Braucht of Aaronsburg, passed away Saturday, March 5, 2022 at Mount Nittany Medical Center in State College. He was 64. Born March 18, 1957 in Huntsville, Alabama, Mike was a son of the late David R. Braucht and Candace K. “Bobb” Braucht of Coburn. He was a 1975 graduate of Penns Valley High School and the Centre County Vocational Technical School, now CPI. On February 23, 1990, Mike married Shari M. “Snyder” Braucht who survives at their home. His passing ends a 32 year marriage.
In addition to his wife and mother, Mike is survived by four children, Adrian M. Braucht (Jeremiah Selfridge), Amanda M. Stover (Alan), Brandon K. Braucht (Ashley Garbrick), Ashley N. Owens (Michael); two stepchildren, Brian K. Feeser (Jennifer) and Matthew R. Orndorf (Kylie); six grandchildren, Morgan, Savannah and Carly Stover and Elijah, Bristol and James Owens; five step grandchildren, Mitchell and Makenzie Feeser, Blake Brumbaugh, and Greyson Hensley and Aurora Orndorf. Also surviving are three brothers, Dan R. Braucht (Heidi), Andrew B. Braucht (Ellen) and David S. Braucht (Connie).
Mike was employed as a mason/general contractor. He was a jack of all trades and could fix anything. He enjoyed gardening, rabbit hunting, running, bicycling, arrow head hunting and sitting by the campfire in the evenings. Most of all Mike enjoyed time spent with his grandchildren and family.
A visitation for family and friends will be held on Friday, March 11, 2022 from 10:00 am until 12 noon at the Steven R. Neff Funeral Home in Millheim, followed by the funeral service with Pastor Kenneth Freed officiating. Mike will be laid to rest in the Braucht family cemetery on the Braucht farm.
