Nancy J. (Boob) Grieb

Nancy J. Grieb, of Bellefonte, passed away Saturday, January 25, 2020 at Centre Crest in Bellefonte.  She was 85.  Born May 31, 1934 in Spring Mills, Nancy was a daughter of the late Raymond P. and Carrie “Neese” Boob.  She was a graduate of the former Gregg Township Vocational School.  On February 19, 1988, Nancy married Elmer G. “Fudd” Grieb who preceded her in death on February 24, 2018.

Nancy was employed as a caregiver for Centre County Homemakers and later worked as a CNA at Brookline.  She enjoyed camping, especially at Gray Squirrel campground in Beavertown where she and Elmer spent a lot of time.  Nancy also enjoyed cooking, baking and traveling to Florida.  Most of all she enjoyed time spent with her family. 

Surviving is one daughter, Judy A. Davidson (Mike) of Bellefonte; one stepdaughter, Tamie J. Weaver (Rod) of Loganton; two sons, Dennis H. Carper of Lewistown and Robert A. Carper (Sue) of West Decatur; and, one brother, James Boob of Harrisburg.  Also surviving are three grandchildren, Nicole Davidson, Crystal Klase and Rayleen Carper, five step grandchildren, Shawn Weaver (Tonya), Alicia Swanger (Mark), Mary Grieb (Steven), Ashlee Graham and Chelsea Showers; two great grandchildren, Josh and Keegan and, nine step great grandchildren, Dakota, Mason, Brynn, Camdyn, Brody, Reagan, Teagyn and Aspyn.  Nancy was preceded in death one son, Roger Carper, one stepson Kent Grieb, and siblings Ella Zerby, John Boob,  Paul Boob, William Boob and Stanley Boob.

In accordance with Nancy’s wishes, there will be no public services.  Contributions in Nancy’s memory may be given to Sunny Days Adult Daily Living Center, 105 Stonecrest Drive, Bellefonte, PA 16823.
