Nicole M. Rothenberg, of Abington, formerly of Aaronsburg, passed away August 26, 2025, at Jefferson Abington Hospital, after an extended illness. She was 40. Born June 29, 1985, in State College, Nicole was a daughter of Ronald W. Rachau and Dedra L. (Boob) Nancarvis. On October 10, 2010, she married Adam Rothenberg who survives in Abington.
She was a 2003 graduate of Penns Valley High School. Nicole went on to attend Susquehanna University where she attained a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and Music. She was a member of Salem Lutheran Church in Aaronsburg. Nicole loved animals and gave of her time volunteering at animal shelters in the Abington area. She was a very artistic person and enjoyed doing a variety of arts and crafts. She loved being a mother to Emily and spending time with her daughter. She also enjoyed singing in the synagogue choir.
In addition to her parents and husband, Nicole is survived by her beloved daughter, Emily and her grandfather, Fred Boob of Aaronsburg. She was preceded in death by her grandmother, Mona Boob.
Family and friends will be received on Saturday, August 30, 2025, from 10 am -11 am at Salem Lutheran Church in Aaronsburg followed by the funeral at 11:00 am. Nicole will be laid to rest in the Reformed Cemetery in Aaronsburg.
