Orvis E. “Orvie” Corman, of Spring Mills, passed away unexpectedly on January 24, 2021. He was 51. Born February 1, 1969 in Bellefonte, Orvie was a son of Lewis E. and Shirley L. “Crust” Corman of Millheim.
Orvie was a 1987 graduate of Penns Valley High School where he enjoyed playing football, basketball and baseball. His love of sports and helping others led to him being a junior high football coach and elementary basketball coach for well over a decade. His first job was in government service working at the Centre County Recorder of Deeds office. He then worked at the former Supelco, now MilliporeSigma in Pleasant Gap. For more than the past twenty years he was proud to own and operate his own business, Corman’s Mail Service. Orvie was a born again Christian and he shared these values with his kids. This gives his children peace in knowing they will see him again in Heaven. He loved being outdoors where he enjoyed hunting, golfing and fishing. Most of all, Orvie loved to spend time with his family, especially watching his children play sports.
In addition to his parents, Orvie is survived by two daughters, Olivia D. Corman and Olia B. Corman both of Centre Hall; two sons, Orry L. Corman and Owyn N. Corman, both also of Centre Hall; and siblings, Lewis E. Corman, Jr. (Lori) of Millheim, Debra C. Immel of Aaronsburg, Candace M. Wasson (Ronald) of State College and, Alta Corman-Wolf (Kip) of Howard. Also surviving is Orvie’s fiancée, Amy Harter of Spring Mills. Orvie was preceded in death by one sister, Sharon L. Corman.
