Patricia A. Homan, of Woodward, passed away May 5, 2024, at Evangelical Community Hospital. She was 87. Born October 14, 1936, in Trenton, NJ, Pat was a daughter of the late Robert W. and Dorothy “South” Parr. She was a 1955 graduate of Hightstown High School in Hightstown, NJ. On August 17, 1957, she married Arden D. “Pete” Homan who survives.
In addition to her husband, Pat is survived by one daughter, Karen Homan DeGarmo of Aaronsburg; three sons, Robert D. Homan (Amy) of Rebersburg, Doug E. Homan (Kelli) of Aaronsburg and Keith A. Homan (Cindy) of Brookville; two siblings, Robert W. Parr, Jr (Pierre) and Dorothy Lennox, both of NJ; eight grandchildren, Lydia Homan, Lisa Dix, Adam DeGarmo (Kayla), Amanda DeGarmo, Carly Firth (Brad), Dustin Perrin, Caleb Bullers and Bradley Musser. Also surviving are three great grandchildren, Eric, Rylin and Olivia, two nieces, Dayna (Jeffrey) and ReNae (Mark) and her nephew Donald (Megan), plus numerous Homan nieces and nephews. Pat was preceded in death by her daughter, Terri Homan.
Pat was employed as a secretary at the Rebersburg Elementary School with 20 plus years of service. She wore many hats at her job, with lunch lady, recess lady and librarian being just a few. Pat enjoyed bowling, reading, embroidery, beach vacations, flower gardening and cooking.
A Celebration of life is being planned for a later date and will be announced. Contributions in memory of Pat may be given to the American Cancer Society at www.donate.cancer.org.
