Paul W. “Bill” Krape, Jr., formerly of Millheim, passed away Thursday, October 12, 2023, at Centre Care in Bellefonte. He was 90. Born April 26, 1933, in Aaronsburg, Bill was a son of the late Paul W. Krape, Sr. and Mary “Bright” Krape. He was a 1952 graduate of the former East Penns Valley High School.
Bill served our country in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict. He was a farmer and had his own barbershop business for a while. He was a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church in Millheim and also the Elks Club in Bellefonte. He enjoyed fishing and was an avid hunter.
Bill is survived by one sister, Mable C. “Mitzi” Krape of Boalsburg; one son, William P. Krape (Tammy) of Rebersburg; two nephews, Kevin and Kelly Brindle, and three grandchildren, Madison, Nathan and Noah. Bill was preceded in death by a sister, Rose Marie Brindle.
Family and friends will be received on Wednesday, October 18, 2023, from 1:00 – 1:30 at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Millheim. The Celebration of Life will follow at 1:30 with Pastor Becky Horn officiating. Bill will be laid to rest in Salem Lutheran Cemetery in Aaronsburg. Contributions in memory of Bill may be given to St. John’s Lutheran Church in Millheim.
